The 2026 GNS meeting was an amazing success.

- We had neurologists attend from all 3 Georgia academic instittions - MCG, Emory SOM, and Morehouse SOM.
- We had students and residents attend from at 8 different institutions.
- We had over 30 research poster presentations.

- The aquarium was an unbelievable venue.
- There were 2 large viewing windows, where we enjoyed seeing Baluga whales in one tank, and hundreds of fish, sharks, and manta-rays in another tank

- The food was catered by Wolfgang Puck, with all meals very tasty and cooked to perfection
Research Prize:

- The research posters were orally presented to the GNS faculty.
- After a detailed deliberation, there was one poster-presenter that stood out - Simran Chhina
- Her research was titled: High Fat Diet Induced Neuroinflammation Drives Microglial Activation in Synaptic Loss in the Substantia Nigra
- She was awarded $1,500 from the GNS for her excellent research and oral presentation durng GNS 2026 - Congratulations!
